A hands-on workshop exploring old Danish school traditions from around 100 years ago. Open to all ages, 13 October 2026 from 10:00 to 13:00 at Foreningshuset – Sønderborg Kaserne. Sign up in advance to participate. Why? The idea for Synnejysk Sysselbiks arose in 2020 at Cathrinesminde Teglværks Museum in connection with the Living Brickworks. Here, Asta was given the opportunity to hold a schoolroom session as it might have been experienced around 100 years ago. Based on items from her own childhood and school days, a whole world of old toys, games, books, school notebooks, picture books and history books has been gathered. What is there to try? In the Sysselbiks, you can among other things try writing with chalk on the blackboard, writing with pencil, pen and ink, practicing calligraphy and drawing. There will also be a story told in Sønderjysk and a song sung. You can try word games with pictures and Sønderjysk words, rhymes and nursery rhymes in Sønderjysk, compete in a tip coupon with the possibility of getting 13 correct or tackle old
