Author talk with Rasmus Nielsen about his novel series *Den sønderjyske sygeplejerske*, set in Sønderborg and inspired by his great-grandmother’s life. The event is for anyone interested in history, literature, or local culture. It takes place on 7 October 2026 at 17:00 in Broager Library. Participation is open to all with no registration required. The story begins in 1912, when Caroline lives in German-occupied Sønderjylland with her parents and four siblings, for whom she bears great responsibility. The narrative continues to Copenhagen and London, where Caroline trains as a nurse and truly enters a world shaped by both hope and war. Rasmus Nielsen was born in Sønderborg, grew up in Ribe, and holds a master’s degree in literature. He has worked as a cultural mediator, editor, and radio producer and made his debut in 2025 with *Lette bølge når du blåner*, the first volume in the novel series.
