About the person
Trine Gadeberg performs as her satirical character Pelle, a 5½-year-old boy known for his sharp social commentary. The show mixes new and old characters to reflect Danish party culture.
Background
Pelle has been a phenomenon on the Danish comedy scene since 2017, with millions of views on social media. The character satirizes Danish festive habits, where beer, coziness, food, dancing and music often take center stage. Pelle observes these traditions from a child's perspective and that is precisely where Pelle, wonderingly, watches from, while the adults let go of their inhibitions and party away to forget about dental bills, ingrown toenails and local elections for a while. No one is spared, but everyone is hugged, when Trine pulls the red/blue beanie down over her ears and lets Pelle have the floor.
