Two members of Æ Synnejysk Forening – one from the east and one from the west – will guide the afternoon.

Baggrund

Sønderjysk is not quite the same everywhere. There are nuances in the language, depending on whether you come from east, west, south or north in Sønderjylland. Some words are pronounced differently, in other places they may use a completely different word – but often they mean exactly the same thing. The afternoon will be educational and cosy, with room for laughter, good stories and perhaps a few loving discussions about how one actually says it.

Hvorfor tage med?

Whether you have lived in Sønderborg all your life, are a newcomer, have family elsewhere in Sønderjylland or are simply curious about the language, this event is for you. You do not need to be able to speak Sønderjysk beforehand, and your Sønderjysk certainly does not need to sound like your neighbour’s.
